Forgedale Principal, Betsy Suppes, has 24 years of oil and gas experience as a petroleum geoscientist. She has spent the last 10 years performing due-diligence reviews for private investors, independent oil and gas companies, legal counsel, and financial institutions. Betsy specializes in risk analysis of individual oil and gas prospects and portfolio analysis from both
a geologic and business case perspective.

Forgedale Consulting recently expanded its practice to include professional development training for geologists new to petroleum geology; and to providing community education seminars about the Marcellus Shale on behalf of banks with significant Marcellus interests.

Betsy began her oil and gas career at Texaco's New Orleans office as a development geologist in the offshore Gulf of Mexico division—generating prospects, making workover recommendations, and evaluating seismic data and well logs.

In 2000, Betsy became a Senior Business Analyst for the Texaco Venezuelan heavy oil project—a move which transitioned her to Houston.

She holds an M.B.A. and M.S. in geology from Tulane University and a B.S. in geology from Dickinson College.
